Shop Update

It's been a while since I last posted a shop update. There have been some interesting additions. Come and see, pretty please.

It's when your special someone knows what you need at every moment, when to ground you, and when to lift you up. Show that you see and appreciate it :)

The lovely, lovely food- and sleep-intolerant creatures. Whether you're a rookie, or a veteran in love, let yourself be reminded of this great, fluttering feeling :)
Do you like cooking? Or are you a cookie monster? Make it a well-known fact for the ones welcome to your kitchen :)

Next week I'll share some knitted goodies. Until then, enjoy the prints that remind you of and celebrate the best things (that aren't really things) in life :)

Branch Candle Holder

I wrote about the DIY-wedding-related contest organized by Ruffled I'd participated in recently. Here is my second project that was published on their site. It's a candle holder, made out of a wine branch and clay lanterns. I find it to be a great, rustic centerpiece for vineyard weddings. The idea was to keep it as simple as possible so as to let the actual star - the natural environment - shine. Here its is.

A Halloweenish Girrrls' Night Out

Once upon a time and place there were four friends (aren't there always?). They lived worlds apart, but they'd always meet up when the leaves started to fall and the nights became longer.

They liked spooky and creepy and they'd always find the it place to meet.
Pumpkinette, the great listener, not so much the talker. You'd always come to her.

Spidina, she glides...
And often gets carried away. An avid shoe lover. See?

Batsy, she's so fly, cannot rest for a while.

And Chatelle, the purrty, stylish French girl.

Where? The new hip place downtown, the Witch's Broom.

And check that smooth retro ride out? (They enjoy color-matching as well :)

Wishbook

Recently I took part in a wedding-related-DIY contest organized by Ruffled. Last night I found out that one of my entries made it among the favorites, and was published on their site. It feels great to be recognized by this experienced and talented panel of judges. Without further ado, I present you the Wishbook :)

From Would to Will to Do

...or from wish to plan to living it up. I indulge in linguistic geekery, thus the title :)
How do you get from one to two to three, or to one at all?
Well, wishing comes naturally, doesn't it? The only thing is whether you've illuminated that wish, whether you allow yourself to wish for something strongly. Once you're there, you start de-cluttering, eliminating everything around it that isn't necessarily helpful.
You should be able to see your wish clearly at this time. Visualise :)
Next up - time management. Let me know if you discover how to do this :)

Surround yourself with things you associate with your wish, the things you'd expect to see and the atmosphere you'd expect to feel in the desired setting. Research. Surround yourself with positive people, don't even tell the negative people about it.
When you feel submerged in it, you learn, think and dream about it, you're past the will phase.
Then do. Work hard, enjoy all the time, and work harder. You're there. From heart to head to all over the place :)

Monday :)

A fresh start. That's all :) It feels great to fall asleep on a Sunday night without dreading the coming week.
Although working for yourself puts a great deal of responsibility on yourself alone, and we all know that you're your own greatest enemy, I find it easier to take the blame if I have to and work harder.
Where I worked while I worked for 'the man' offered the kind of work atmosphere that wasn't at the least bit healthy. And coming from there, I'll do whatever it takes to make this work.

Even though there's no profit to what I'm doing at the moment, I feel that my inner peace and my brain cells are being restored - and you can't put a price on that. After a long time, I enjoy what I do and who I do it with - a carefully chosen 'group' of two people :D
Wherever it takes me, I'm grateful to have taken the leap.

Shop Update

First up in a series of shop updates are these posters created by this guy, and available here.

If you've slipped, tripped or ended up on all four – you're in love! Let the world know :)

A red-hot twist on the omnipresent poster. You can't always keep it together – it's not healthy, either :)

The Welcome Post :)

So, welcome to my blog. Created after my wish by my amazingly creative boyfriend, it is here.
Writing comes naturally to me, as a means of crafting, as well as a venting spot. The initial purpose of this blog will be to showcase our work in terms of designing and crafting for our shop, but it won't only come down to that. You'll find a lot of reflecting on life, cooking, crafty ideas for yourselves, all followed by photos taken by the already mentioned bf :) and things that we find inspiring in general.
I hope that you'll feel at home.
